"Health is a state of optimal physical, mental and emotional well-being, not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.”

Several thousand years ago, East Asian practitioners discovered that the body forms disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life. An oriental medical theory explains these disharmonies as an imbalance of opposing forces called yin and yang. This imbalance disrupts the movement of the body's vital energy (qi) along the meridian pathways, which are channels through which the body's energy is thought to flow. Acupuncture restores the smooth flow of qi. By inserting and manipulating needles at specific points on the body, I am able to return the body to its natural balance and promote the body's ability to heal itself.

Ernie Akers L.Ac graduated from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas, 1999. He has been practicing in San Antonio since 2001. Read more

Pain relief and overall wellness is what I get when I see Ernie! It takes more than one visit to feel long lasting relief, but each visit makes me feel better, and with each visit the relief lasts longer. His treatment has totally controlled my restless legs, which have plagued me all my life. After I see him I can move easier and with far less discomfort. The treatments offer me time to meditate and help add a sense of balance to my day.

Ernie is amazing! Met him about 2007 for a crick in my neck that massage and meds didn't help. One session -GONE. Later see him for ankle pain & he says I need to see my doc - broken fibula. Most recently my back pain is my gallbladder acting up. Most highest respect for his knowledge and care.

I highly recommend "Ernie" Turtle Dragon Acupuncture for an overall maintenance, or for any specific issues you may have. I have been going to Ernie since 2008 and have gotten excellent results each session. This is definitely a wellness medicine to incorporate into every ones stressful lives.
