Every time I've stopped by, regardless of whether I was picking up a set of tubes or asking them about a difficult repair, they took the time to make sure my experience was a great one. Their section of tools anyone can use is also a huge help. When I crashed on the river trail and needed to make repairs, they were invaluable help.

I have never had a bad experience at Thick Bikes. Their staff is personable and VERY knowledgeable. One can always trust their recommendations - whether it's for servicing an old bike or buying new.

Solid store, inventory selection is best despite a smaller store. More personal staff then bigger box stores.

Since first walking in the door with a beater hybrid nearly 10 years ago, I felt welcome here. Staff & ownership have always been straightforward, patient, and trustworthy with their advice, the work is done right and on time, and the place just has a really good, positive, inclusive vibe. The huge selection of bikes & gear covers just about everything you'd want to undertake on two wheels, from MTB to racing to bikepacking.

Staff is super friendly and helpful to newbies! Getting into cycling can be intimidating and sometimes more seasoned riders can at times be a little rude. That is definitely NOT the case here, where the staff is super friendly and understanding. My fiancee and I went in with the goal of finding her first/new bike and we left super thrilled with the experience. We left with exactly the type of bike she needed for the type of riding she plans to do and it was within the budget we laid out when we walked in. We'll definitely be back to Thick Bikes. Also they have free parking/their website is hilarious.

After trying many bike shops throughout the Pittsburgh area, we decided that Thick Bikes is our LBS -- Local Bike Shop. The work is quick and at a reasonable price, but always works well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A number of times we brought through-riders, often from other countries, in for a quick tuneup, and their bikes were always fit it and repaired, leaving them to roll happily on their way.

Greatest bike shop in the burgh hands down... there are others that are also quite good, some not so much. This one is the best! friendly and knowledgeable staff ALWAYS willing to help and willing to go above and beyond for the customer. They don't try to see you crap you don't need
