  I can’t sing Carmen’s praises enough. The woman is AMAZING! My husband and I attended her Birth Boot Camp classes in Fall 2016 and trekked all the way from Bethesda to Baltimore to learn about all things natural birth. ... I highly recommend her class to couples in the Baltimore/DC area, it’s well worth the money and the time. We love Carmen!

  Carmen came and did the placenta encapsulation for me. I'm almost 3 weeks pp and what a difference those pills make! They give me so much energy and definitely help my mood in these days of sleep deprivation.
  Not only was she wonderful and so sweet when she made the pills, but she just called me to check on me and my baby girl. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend her services to any new mom!

  My husband and I attended the birth boot camp class that Carmen taught in 2015. We enjoyed every moment of it. She is very knowledgeable, and also experienced when it comes to natural birth, the female body, and newborn behavior ... Carmen is a great instructor that goes above and beyond to make sure you have a safe and memorable natural birth experience!

  I didn't even know about encapsulation with my first pregnancy, but I was sure I wanted to try it for my recent pregnancy since I have a high risk factor for post partum depression. I'm so glad I did! ... He's now a complete believer and has recommended it to many of his friends with pregnant wives.

  Carmen is as lovely and professional in this service as it gets! Her presence in our home immediately post-partum was most welcome. And I can't say enough good things about the benefits of placenta encapsulation. ... I will definitely look to use The Nurturing Root again next time around!
