The Floor Doctor has been around along time. I recently bought the company from Al the original owner, in January of 2012. I have close to 10 years experience in the industry and plan on building The Floor Doctor in to a thriving company. I have 4 years as a Marine and love a challenge and believe in Integrity and Honor.

Pulled up the carpet of a 1960's home and found wonderful but worn out oak floor. I was hoping to refinish the floors and install something to replace the vinyl in the dinning area. After meeting with Bill said he could install new hardwoods in the dinning room, refinish and match the existing floors. I thought if he could get close to matching the two floorings that it would be ok. I was so surprised when he finished the work! Know one but me (and Bill) would know that the floors were ever different. Great Workmanship!!!! Bill and his staff were great, very friendly and professional. If anyone ever ask me if I know a good flooring guy I will send them to the Floor Doctor without hesitation. Great local family business!!!

So far I have been very impressed with Bill's communication. I am from out of town and purchased a home in Portland and need to have the floors redone on a very specific date. Bill was able to provide me an estimate and agreed to the time line. I will update upon completion but so far he has been great to deal with.

Its very hard to find good, reliable flooring people. Most floor companies are cherry-picking the biggest and most lucrative jobs at the moment, given all of the new building in the area.. After 10 calls (literally), a floor installer came here, said the job was too small for him and recommended The Floor Doctor. Bill from the Floor Doctor came on time, filled in a 3 foot x 3 foot hole on our wood floor (where we had removed a column),sanded it, blended it and stained it. He also found 3-4 other areas with water damage and wear and sanded them, sealed and stained... the floors look brand new again and we didn't need to do a massive / expensive job. I would highly recommend Bill, he owns the company and a really nice guy. Outstanding workmanship and a very fair price.

Wow... My hard wood floors look amazing!! When we first bought our home we accidentally found old growth wood floors. Thinking that they were unrepairable planned on getting carpet. A great friend of ours recommended Bill Chamberlin (The Floor Doctor) to come and look at the floors before we ripped out the wood flooring. We called Bill and he come to our home looked around and with confidence, told us he cold make these floors look amazing..... He was right, My floors look amazing!! I'm so very happy with the work, price and professionalism we got from The Floor Doctor Thank you Thank you Thank you!
