So in early 2015, we moved into our current Gowanus location. Now, we’re the number one hair salon in Brooklyn and have been featured by Brooklyn Magazine and New York Magazine as a top NYC salon. I've been coming here for just over a year and it's been my favorite salon experience ever! Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and it feels like a relaxing retreat for an hour or two. Brooke is fabulous, she always listens to what I want and has given me some of the best haircuts I've ever had. I always leave the salon feeling great. I've also been to Megan a couple of times for color and she is wonderful too! Would recommend this place and these lovely ladies to anyone.

This place and these ladies are incredible. I've been twice, once to Gina for a balyage and again to Megan to go full blonde. My first visit was filled with laughs, great conversations and maybe a prosecco or two. The gang went out of their way to make me feel at home and a part of their little crew. The second time it was just Megan and I and the experience was equally pleasant with the same kind of comfortability of catching up with an old friend. The colours themselves are amazing, I left both times with a colour that exceeded my expectations. The prices are fair, and well worth saving up a lil bit extra for. I will be back again, and I can't wait!

... I called for a last minute appointment and was scheduled to see Shannon the following day! She is truly a genius with hair. She listened to me and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Literally the best haircut of my life. It's only been about 2 weeks, but I've received a ton of compliments and I direct each of them to Shannon. Seriously if you've been looking for an amazing stylist give her a try, you won't be disappointed!

... They had me send pictures in advance, which helped me feel confident that they would have some sort of strategy devised for my appointment in two days. When I arrived, everyone was super polite and so welcoming (they also have prosecco). Brooke and Gina discussed what they had in mind for fixing me, and Gina got to work. When it was done, I could not believe how good my hair looked. I did not think that they could save it, let alone, give me what I had actually wanted in the first place. They are hair sorceresses, beautiful, warm hair queens. I cannot recommend them enough!

... The Bird House has a real eclectic, friendly, hip but very inclusive vibe with diverse music playing, and warm sunshine flooding through the windows. They even have bubbly water!! I love me some bubbly water and a new hair do!
