Great gym with clean facilities and a nice staff. Routes are maintained and updated regularly. They have top rope, lead, and bouldering. Finally, their hours are good, especially for gym members.

Even with the bigger, fancier places coming to town, climbing at those places just makes me realize how lucky we are to have TRG. Love the top ropes courses here: they're challenging and interesting. The boulder area is small and can be limiting sometimes, but at least they change it up weekly so there's always something new to work on. Also, love the special nights and rates for students, ladies, etc... rates went up recently pretty suddenly but I still feel like this gym is one of the more affordable options out of the few I've been to in Texas because of all their specials!

Rock climbing was very fun!! They also teach you to belay and hook yourselves onto the ropes. They give you chalk for your hands, a harness, and a clip for belaying at the beginning of your "lesson". After that, they set you free and you can do whichever difficulty you want to. There are also non-harness walls where you can go freely. It was very fun there and great for children!!!

Freakin' awesome!!! This was our first time here. We came on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too packed. We had to sign an electronic waiver prior to being able to climb. This can be done on their website using your smartphone or using the facility's IPads provided at the entrance. You can also leave your belongings in the lockers provided. However, they don't provide combination locks for you. Next time, we're going to bring our own locks so that we don't have to hold all of our things with us.

... Texas Rock Gym was so much fun, though! We can't wait to come back and try their other more challenging walls!
