Ted Dubasik, CPA

Accountant

After obtaining my CPA credential in 1999 and working in public accounting and private industry for over 15 years I started my private accounting practice in 2006. During my time in public accounting, I audited both public and private companies in various industries including retail, tech, distribution and health care. After three years I left to work for one of our firm’s largest clients where I did budgeting, forecasting and reporting for a business line with over $50 billion in annual revenue. I also spent time as a business analyst in the IT department where I was responsible for overseeing the development of financial reporting.

In 2003 my wife and I purchased a unit in a 6-unit TIC building, and shortly thereafter I began offering financial management services to other buildings. Over time I expanded my practice to include working with small businesses offering services such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and tax preparation. Since it started, my practice has grown by 50% each year and I now work with over one hundred clients. Read more

Great experience! I signed up for an hour long consultation, and learned everything I needed to know in an amount of time much shorter than I expected. And because it didn't take the full hour, he charged me for the time that it took. Super fair, knowledgeable, and answered questions clearly and patiently.

Ted is great! He is very responsive over email and helped me a TON when it came to filing my first taxes as a new business owner for my event planning company. I had some startup expenses that I wasn't sure how to account for, and he was very helpful in suggesting how to expense these. He agreed to do phone calls with me to figure it out, and gave lots of helpful advice in our initial consultation. ...

Ted has been great to work with and his fee was very reasonable. My wife and I are really glad we found him. We are looking forward to only working with him from this point onward.

I am the new treasurer of our Tenancy in Common, and I can speak both for myself and for my predecessor when I heap praise on the work that Ted Dubasik has been doing for us. He provides the most efficient and timely service possible — taking a lot of work off our hands and also giving us peace of mind knowing that all of our financial matters are in perfect order.

In the end, we didn't need Ted to file our taxes but this lack of future work/income did not affect his quality. We paid for half an hour of consulting which Ted was easy to communicate with and clearly knowledgeable about TIC complexities, among other general tax questions. He was also more than receptive to emailed questions and helped without charge.

Noticed other reviewers said that Ted made them feel confident in his competency. Here's an example of why we do - Our neighbor's accountant gave them the wrong TIC mortgage interest deduction calculation. Ted had it right on and we were able to help our neighbors so that their accountant could fix their W-2. They should have used Ted!
