Dr. Taz Elizabeth Varkey is a board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at UCLA. She then obtained her medical degree by completing her basic science education at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana and her clinical years at USC Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Finally, she completed her four year Ob/Gyn residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

After residency, she spent 8 years with Cedars Sinai Medical Group before she finally started her own private practice over 6 years ago. In total, she has been practicing as an Ob/Gyn for almost 15 years. During this time she has maintained close ties with the Department of Ob/Gyn at Cedars Sinai Medical Center by serving on the Performance Improvement Committee for the past 4 years. She is currently treasurer of the Department of Ob/Gyn and serves on the hospital’s Continuing Medical Education Committee.     I moved cities and a friend recommended DR. Varkey. Today is my second visit on the office and while waiting I am doing the review.
    She is very friendly, attentive, patience and give all the support and information you may need. Her office is staffs are the same, friendly and pleasant. She is a obstetrics, gynecologist and infertility specialist. I high recommend her. Her office is san vicent by La cienega and wilshire. She accept my insurance and works on cidar Sinai hospital.

    She is the best!! I've lived in la for 3 1/2 years and continued to go home for check ups because the thought of lookin for a new gyno was stressful! I came across dr varkey and decided to try a new doctor... BEST decision. She is so kind and caring and listens to everything you have to say.

    LOVE Dr. Varkey!!!! Been seeing her for 15+ years. She has been my gyno, my surgeon and my OB. She has impeccable bedside manner, she listens, she stays current with all the latest guidelines and training, she is an advocate and a really excellent doctor. I also adore her office staff, Jennifer and Stephanie are the best!!! Seems silly to say... but I really look forward to my appointments at Dr. Varkey's office!!
