  Great community, good work, fair prices: Switched On provides all of these and more. They have a storefront where you can try new gear and old gear that's been repaired by them. They employ local synth musicians who know what they're talking about and have good taste. Switched On is a really great synthesizer shop with an awesome environment.

  Switched On has been keeping my Arp Odyssey in top condition for several years. I've bought 4 synthesizers that have also been immaculately restored by them prior to sale. One of the best in the synth repair business.

  I went to Switched On two weeks ago. My husband was curious about the place, so we headed over there to check it out one day. The shop has rare vintage synthesizers and audio equipment on the store floor, all in great condition. You can play them, too (some have headphones and others played are heard throughout the shop). It also provides repair services.
  
  In terms of price, you'd think that a smaller shop like this would have higher prices, but the synthesizers are set at market value. What's even more is that this local shop has some very rare finds here that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. You'll see stuff in here that you've only heard or read about. That's what impressed my husband. If you are an audio person and into vintage synthesizers, Switched On is a must-see.

  I've just started getting into Eurorack and I'm a total noob but the staff was really helpful and took the time to show me some patching on their in-store modular setup (which is available for customers to play with!).

  Chad and everybody else at Switched On are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to modular synthesizers and have always pointed me in the right direction when it comes to gear purchases.
  On top of that, they are friendly and personable, and are happy to talk shop, geek out on new modules with you, or give you time to patch and explore potential purchases
  Definitely my favorite store in Austin! A++ would shop again!

  Great store! The workers here were super helpful and very friendly. They are very knowledgable about synthesis and super helpful in getting me the synth I wanted.

  They fixed my broken SE 5600a tube microphone in half an hour!
  It's been a paper weight for almost 2 years and SE was no help. Switched On took it on and fixed it in less than a month, and only half a day once they had the time to care for it.
  
  Honest team with fair prices that kept me updated as they worked. Will return for any repair work and, of course, to play with all the fun sound toys ;)

  Wonderful store, excellent staff who were happy to help, and 100% welcoming about us bringing along our young daughter and showing her around. Well stocked in the latest gear and also offering great deals on used devices as well. We drove down from Killeen just to check it out and it greatly exceeded our expectations!
