In 1994, my very close friend Amy was involved in a near-fatal car accident which left her wheelchair-bound and nonverbal. Currently, Amy is 100% dependent on others to care for her. I have struggled all these years with the big question of how something so devastating could happen to such a nice, caring, promising young girl. In August 1994, during one of my visits at University Hospital in Madison, a speech-language pathologist came in to do what is called a ‘bedside swallow evaluation.’ This assessment would tell whether Amy would be able to eat by mouth, or would need a PEG tube to get her nutrition. Amy ended up needing the PEG tube. At the time, I remember asking the speech pathologist all sorts of questions. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Quality of therapists is top notch. My daughter has worked with many of them, and every one is a wealth of knowledge in their field, as well as "fun" and engaging to a kiddo. Billing department goes above and beyond in handling your specific situation, and working with insurance companies, and management/ownership is kind and easy to work with- treats you like you're their favorite client regardless of how long you've been working with them. My daughter's progress has been more significant since working with them that is was with any previous therapies. Definitely recommend this team!

We love this place. Our daughter started therapy with Courtney just a few months ago, and she is making so much progress. I could not have asked for a better speech therapist. Courtney is so patient, thought and helpful with my daughter. We are so glad we found this place, and cannot tell you how much we appreciate the efforts Courtney goes through to help our daughter with her speech delays.

From the first moment I called Amy Svensson I knew I was making the right choice. Amy listened to my child's needs. She was comforting in my concerns as a parent. Knowing that my child didn't qualify for sessions with insurance coverage, Amy encouraged me to try other businesses to help me save money. But I insisted on Susan Cohn based on reviews. I felt the cost would be worth it for my child's success. Talking to Amy felt like I was talking to a good friend. ... -

There are wonderful, caring speech therapists here that will give your child the individualized therapy he/she needs. When we first started bringing our son here he was 2 1/2 and he could only say around 5 words. In the past 6 months since he has been seeing Amy Smith and Amy Svensson he is now talking in sentences and has made amazing progress. I cant say enough good things about them!
