Stork & Sprout birth doula services are available for ALL types of births, including hospital and home births, cesarean births, labors that involve medication and interventions as well as natural unmedicated births. Our doulas provide reassurance and perspective to the laboring woman and her partner, making suggestions for labor progress, and assisting with comfort techniques including relaxation, massage, positioning, and touch.

In addition to providing emotional support, physical comfort, Stork & Sprout doulas help facilitate communication with the medical staff to make sure women and their partners have the information necessary to make educated decisions during the birth of their baby. Rather than advocating for our clients, we provide the information, guidance and support that enable them to advocate for themselves. This allows each couple to make informed decisions that they understand and feel good about in the long term. We also assist with initial breastfeeding in the hour after the baby’s birth.
