Infant Massage Class (Private or Small-Group) – 3 Sessions

In these classes parents will learn how to use various infant massage strokes on their babies. All strokes will be demonstrated by the instructor on a doll as parents work with their infants. We will discuss specific strokes to relieve colic and gas, improve digestion, help with immune system, sleep, and aid in relaxation. Massage for infants has many other benefits as well: promoting circulation as well as healthy weight gain, mental development, and relief from discomfort & stress. This activity promotes relaxation for both parents and children and creates a loving bond that families can share for years to come! Participants will be encouraged to work at their baby’s pace, and dolls will be provided either so both parents can practice or if your baby is not quite in the mood.

Classes are offered in varying formats to meet different people’s needs

THREE PRIVATE IN-HOME SESSIONS–45-60 MINUTE SESSIONS

In-Home private massage instruction is available to help make learning baby massage more convenient for you.  During the 45-60 minute sessions we will cover as many massage strokes as possible.  An extra doll will be available so that more than one care giving adult can practice alongside.  Classes are broken up into 3 sessions, ideally one session a week, to provide parents time to practice the learned strokes and ask questions at the next session.

THREE SMALL GROUP IN-HOME SESSIONS–45-60 MINUTE SESSIONS
$150 per person up to 5 people

Hosting a small group for In-Home massage instruction is also available.  During the 45-60 minute sessions we will cover as many massage strokes as possible.  As with the private sessions, extra dolls will be available so that more than one caregiving adult can practice alongside.  Classes are broken up into 3 sessions, ideally one session a week, to provide parents time to practice the learned strokes and ask questions.

In-Home Prenatal Massage

Massage during pregnancy is a therapeutic type of bodywork designed to address the needs of the pregnant woman as her body goes through the typical changes of gestation. Massage can be received in all stages of pregnancy and is very safe and often recommended by medical physicians, obstetricians, midwives and other related professionals. The gentle, noninvasive approach of prenatal massage can ease discomfort associated with pregnancy, help the mother-to-be prepare for labor, and give her nurturing emotional support. There are many benefits for both mother and newborn when a relaxing massage is incorporated into regular prenatal care.

In-Home Postpartum Massage

The next few days after the joy of bringing a child into the world can be both ecstatic and overwhelming. First, there is the adrenalin and emotions of the labor itself, then comes settling into a new routine and tending to the often demanding needs of a new baby. During this time, it is extremely important to ensure that a mother’s needs are not ignored. Through postnatal massage, the vital energy that is lost during labor can be replenished!
