I first sent my Italian Pivetta Eigers to Steve back in the 1970s. I had Vibram Montagna soles fitted and I still have the same boots, in 2018! He has replaced 3/4 shanks to other mountaineering boots with new soles as well. He is the best of the best!

I had an expensive pair of boots that the sole was worn, but the tops were in fine shape. Kimono repaired them in a reasonable amount of time for a good price. After 400 to 500 miles on the new sole they started to separate a very small amount. However, I took them in and Komito repaired them for free. The boots are still in pretty good shape, I just may get them resoled again in a couple hundred miles!
