Peter turned his love of Dance and passion for teaching into a business by opening Star Dance School in Newton in 2011. His success has enabled him to open a second location in Brighton in April of 2013.
Peter began his ballroom dance training right here in Massachusetts, and after only three years made the final of the American national championships.
Champion and finalist of numerous ballroom dance competitions,
Peter was in the top eight highest ranked couples in America. He
travelled and competed all throughout USA, Canada, and Europe, and trained
with such renowned coaches as Allan Tornsberg, Vibeke Toft, Shirley Ballas, and
Colin James.
Peter has been teaching ballroom dancing for children and adults for more than 12 years. Read more

Star Dance School and Peter were so helpful in teaching me and my new wife get ready for our first dance at our wedding! Peter was very experienced and had so many ideas for us. What I really liked was that he let us choose what we felt comfortable with and he was so professional in guiding us through our routine. Thanks to him, we felt confidence in front of our audience, and had an awesome time practicing and performing our dance!

Dance class with Dakota here is the best! I always look forward to dance more than anything else in my week. Never taking dance anywhere else! Everyone here is so kind and accepting, and the teachers, especially Dakota, just want you to have fun when you dance. I would recommend Star Dance to anyone looking for a place to dance in Boston.

My husband and I can't dance. Period. But you never would have known it at our wedding -- Peter choreographed a simple but impressive looking swing routine for us, to Dean Martin's Ain't That a Kick in the Head. We pulled it off, thanks to some very patient lessons, and it was one of the highlights of our wedding!
