I needed a local stylist at the last minute. Because of the consistently great reviews, I called Solstice. Frank returned my call quickly and was able to fit me in same day. Such a relaxing salon and experience so close to home. I am an anxious client, having had a horrible experience and then a few years of trying to grow it out (my hair grows very slowly so a bad cut stays with me a long time). Frank did a super job interpreting what I was trying to achieve. I have already scheduled my next appointment with him.

So I called in on New Year's Eve my regular stylist had a family emergency and cancelled. Fortunately Marisa had time to squeeze me in last minute. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted just that I needed something done! She throughly explained to me how she could work on my hair what color she would use and why. I have to say I left super satisfied. Her and her brother were so friendly I will definitely recommend this salon! It is kinda hidden and looks so tiny but once your in your relaxed by the atmosphere they created and is truly worth it!

... It may be a bit of a hike for some people but as my wife says, many people will not worry about the trip for hair cuts and treatments like they get here. Added bonus, after you get your hair done there is a wonderful restaurant right next door Jed's Grill. Like Solstice Salon it is family run and excellent food. If this place were down in Bishop Arts (which isn't too far) you would have to stand in line to get in.

I've gone to Frank for over a dozen years and when he left his previous salon and started Solstice, I moved with him. I love the experience and my cuts and more importantly, my wife likes the way I look when I get home.

Frank is awesome as a stylist. I have natural curly hair and he has patience forever when I start nitpicking - Thanks Frank! When Frank cuts my hair I always get compliments that I look like Glen Close and I have followed Frank for some years now.
The salon is just hip and cool. Marisa, Amy and Frank have always made me feel comfortable when arriving for my appointment.
Don't pass up meeting these wonderful people, the coolest salon and treat yourself to a relaxing day at the salon!
