Architect

Our clients come to us dissatisfied with what is. They have tastes and convictions, budgets and constraints. They live in neighborhoods as well as houses. They envision a more workable life.

We have the skill to transform challenging spaces into living solutions. We’re practical, realistic, honest. We ask a million questions: How do you want to live? What do you need? Working together, we free up the possibility. We capture your dream and give it dimension.

The process is often as beautiful as the result. Read more

Sogno design is a great team dedicated to collaborating with clients on their architectural design needs. Kathy and her team know how to manage challenging tasks to fit sites and existing structures and bring new life to a site.

We love Sogno and recommend them without hesitation. We worked with Kathy Rogers and her mix of practical (Ikea cabinets) and more expensive finishes helped create our amazing kitchen that two years later we love and use. We entertain so much more and now if we don't it's because we have two children instead of just one, and not because we're embarrassed by our kitchen.

We used their services to update and open up our kitchen which was walled off, horribly outdated and inefficient. Now we can move from kitchen to living space super easily and everyone can participate in conversation, drink at the counter, or help cook.

We get lots of compliments and can't ever imagine leaving.

We had a great experience working with Kathy Rogers at Sogno Design. I must admit that when I started the process of a home remodel I wondered, "What could an architect do for our remodel that an experienced contractor couldn't"? By the end of the project, I got it. I still to this day don't really know how Kathy got such a functional and beautiful bathroom into such a small space on our second floor. But she did. She also made a couple changes to the design of the stairs leading to our second floor that turned it from something that felt like just a stairway to now something that feels more like a ... cathedral (I know that sounds odd but trust me it's good). ...

All in all, a great experience. I'd recommend Sogno Design, and Broad Construction, highly.

I highly recommend the interior design services of Sogno Design Group (sognodesigngroup.com, 510-526-2720). I have a small living room that I could not manage to make look like a livable space after many hours of trying and getting opinions from friends and family. Dolors of Sogno solved the problem! She came in and took thorough measurements, created 2 different 3D layouts and a complete supply list from local retailers. My budget was low so she found options at IKEA, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, etc. I opted to do the shopping and had her come back to advise on how to decorate the walls and advise on the rug choice I made. The impossible room is now completely warm and welcoming!
