I’m so pleased I found receptionist service. As a sole practitioner traffic lawyer, a great law firm answering service is very important! I’m a huge fan for many reasons, but the most important to me are their features, price, and integration with CRM. Here’s why it works so well for me.

1. Live Answers
When somebody calls my firm, which is just me and a very, very part time assistant, they get my virtual office with a live person. Not a machine, not a robot. A real person.

2. Meticulous About Detail
Another thing I like is that Smith is meticulous about phone numbers and email addresses. They’ve never made a mistake in the three years they’ve been my answering service. And, that’s just incredible.

3. Easy to Work With
The third thing I like about Smith is that they’re a very easy to work with. I email them different forms I need them to fill out that integrate with different programs I use. They take care of it and are just so delightful to work with. I’ve even become quite friendly with a lot of the virtual receptionist staff.

I’m happy with Smith’s price, too. I used to be with Ruby telephone answering service, which charges by the minute. Smith’s phone answering service charges by the call instead. I like Smith’s pricing for a couple of reasons. First, Smith has a competitive rate, so you can get a lot of calls and still pay a reasonable amount.

Second, since the rate is by the call, it doesn’t matter how long it takes. The caller can be as detailed as they need to be, and it’s still just charged as one call. So, I feel like I’m getting more of the information I need.

Integrates Well with CRM
Smith also integrates their services with my Customer Relations Management software. They find out what a ticket is for, along with the name of the person, their phone number, and their email address. They drop that into my CRM, and it sends me an email to let me know what’s going on. At the end of the day, I get a list of all the calls I got that day.

Bottom line is that Smith meets my needs as a solo attorney. Their features and CRM integration help me do my job more easily and efficiently. They’re friendly and easy to work with, so I wanted to thank them and give them a kudos for being a great law firm answering service!

I was very nervous about hiring an agency to be the first point of contact for new potential clients - first impressions being as important as they are. Smith has so far exceeded my expectations in every way. They're tech is very "hand-off" in a sense, in that you don't have a dashboard of controls. However, this is a deliberate choice by them so that we don't have another app to manage, and they pull this off flawlessly by being super responsive and integrating the tech on their end. I started using Smith when my paralegal/receptionist suffered a disabling injury. They are very, very helpful folks who do their job well. They have a really good method for handling legal clients without me having to provide training and are great at getting me good basic information before I return a phone call. I was using a receptionist service that came with my executive suite for about three years. Our office has four receptionists that answer phones for dozens of businesses and the quality of the service has been going down hill. I've been looking for a good call answering service for years. I was tempted by Ruby Receptionists (a few times), but the costs were astronomical. So I back-burned this project. Then I discovered Smith about 4 months ago. The price was right, but what really hooked me is their technology. I love the instant email summaries (within minutes of getting a call), and then the nicely formatted daily summaries at the end of the day. It's a nice combination of human + tech. My experience thus far has been that Smith AI has offered superior service to that of Ruby at less cost. I was very leery of changing services. After all, Ruby is viewed as the best. Well, I really must say that I couldn't be more pleased. The call summaries are coherent and offer just the right amount of detail. The names of callers are more often spelled correctly than before. The screening and filtering of junk calls seems better. They have gone out of their way to get to know my office and handle calls accordingly. The receptionists sound very professional. Just wow - seems to good to be true! And FYI no one asked me to review or post anything. I'm that impressed.

A live person answers each call with the greeting I select, hands the call over to me with an introduction, and prepares a summary of each call sent by email. (I chose email over SMS.) I have an IP boutique practice, so my new leads call with pretty much patent, trademark, or copyright needs. Anymore, the Smith receptionists are better at classifying some lead's IP needs than the lead themselves. also screens out solicitors or anyone else I don't want to take calls from. It's all so customized that it feels as if I have a dedicated receptionist. The prices are super affordable, too. Highly recommended!
