Throughout their young lives, I have learned to bake many mainstream treats, always making sure that they were getting the yummiest and most visually appealing treats compared to their friends' allergen laden baked goods. People who attended our birthday parties would always ask where I got the fabulous cake or cupcakes, never suspecting that they were free of peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and eggs. At these parties, it was always suggested to me that I make my products available to other children who suffer from food allergies but still want fantastic custom birthday cakes.
So finally I decided to do just that, and thus Shuly's bakery was born. Since I began, I have even made some cakes for people who's children don't have food allergies, but just loved my cakes. Read more

Update: this nut-free bakery is the only place anyone should get treats for kid's birthday parties or class snacks. Nut allergies are serious and life threatening. It's asking too much for kids to say no-thank-you at every party, and putting parents in a tough position to refuse for their kid's safety.

Their babka is so tasty and we especially love anything they make with their high quality and safe chocolate.
Give them a call - they are always willing to do special orders and work with your dietary restrictions.
My kids love coming here knowing everything they eat here is safe - Shulys is truly a blessing to have in our community. -

Omg! The BEST bakery I've found in California...like the BEST!!! My favorite there are the pies, especially the peach pie. Everything about it is perfect, the perfect amount of tart and sweetness. And it's not just because I'm pregnant either. I'll be back after I birth too! Lol it's seriously THAT good! Like a foodgasm in your mouth...it's the best thing you'll put in your mouth ever!

Wonderful nut free bakery. They also host cupcake and cookie decorating parties. In addition, they sell cupcake decorating kits that you can do at home. Great for nut allergy kids! They also do vegan and gluten free items on request, however it is not a gluten free facility.

When we first walked in, I cried. My child has the same allergies as this family and to hear their story and have someone to relate to was amazing. And we were able to bring our girls' (6.5 years old) their first bakery treats home. This week, Shuly, opened the bakery to our homeschooling group, accommodating all the allergies of those who attended, gave the children a tour of the bakery, answered questions, had us decorate cookies. ... This is more than a bakery, it is community helping each other when "normal" things aren't normal for us.

Just tried the cream cheese frosting - best I've ever tasted! In a pinch, I needed to pick up allergen-free cupcakes for my Girl Scout troop to celebrate a birthday...and Shuly's Bakery came through for me on very short notice. Their creations are gorgeous, tasty, and safe for all the kiddos. What more could you ask? Oh yes...very friendly and helpful staff, too! Thanks!
