I have been practicing in the Washington, DC, area since 1990. I lecture frequently to orthodontic groups and dental societies, and serve as a consultant for dental continuing education study groups. As a faculty member at the University of Maryland Dental School, I teach orthodontics to postgraduate students. I have been rated as a Top Dentist by Consumers Checkbook Magazine, and for the past 17 years, I have been voted by my peers as one of the Top Orthodontists in the entire Washington, DC, area by Washingtonian Magazine. Dr. Shefferman's office is warm and welcoming! He and his office staff are just as warm and welcoming as well as prompt,courteous and friendly. He is very good with children and patient. He explains everything thoroughly to ease any anxiety that might arise from a dental visit. We were worked in the next day and from out of town and they were incredible. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Shefferman's office was incredible. I had to come here after I had a work accident to get my bottom teeth fixed. It was done through workers comp (a huge pain for anyone who has had to deal with that) but Amber was super great about working with the adjuster to submit the right paperwork quickly to get the payment approved as soon as possible. Everyone here is super friendly and great at their jobs and I'd recommend this practice to anyone!
