Shanti Yoga retreat is a little piece of heaven for yogis to practice on their mat! Not only are the classes magnificent, the location is just beautiful right on the water on the shore of Wolfe Island. They also have a lovely retreat cat named Bubba that would roam through the fields as we walked around the lands. One of the highlights of my time there was when we did a slow walking meditation and happened upon a herd of cows who greeted us with long lasting glances; it was magical :) Thanks Shanti!!

Just returned from my 3rd Shanti Retreat this year, twice with girl friends and recently with my husband. Shanti offers everything one could want in a yoga retreat;, a beautiful, peaceful venue in a rural waterfront setting, welcoming and engaged hosts, excellent vegetarian food sourced locally, and mindful yoga practice including meditation. I have practiced yoga for about 4 years, several times a week and I continue to enjoy thoroughly the yoga and teachings offered by Wendy and Darren (Shanti owners), Eeveryone who came with me this year loved Shanti and is keen to return again. It truly is a gem of a place with a very authentic, down to earth vibe. Very clean. Rooms are small but comfortable.

Fantastic place. A MUST for people who need/want to unwind. I was there for the July 1st weekend. The atmosphere was warm. The food -to die for, especially raw vegan desserts. The people were amazing, very nice and interesting. The beautiful grounds of the retreat were kept neat and tidy at all times. And there are super cute cats roaming around <3
The owners, Wendy and Darin, are very personable and kind. Actually, all the staff were super nice and helpful when needed. All the guests were put at ease after the first yoga class. Darin and Wendy are fantastic yoga instructors! They clearly know what they are doing. The highlight of my stay was their restorative yoga, after which everyone was very sleepy.
All 3 days were very peaceful for me. And yes, just like one of the reviewers wrote, it's like a week worth of vacation put into 3 days.
Highly recommend it. Will definitely come back!

Thank you to the Shanti Team and Wendy, Darin and Lacey for an amazing 4-day retreat. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed and at peace. The setting is so beautiful, the healthy food was awesome, the swims were fun & refreshing, and the medication & yoga were top notch. It was my first time for a thai yoga massage and it was the best!! I also liked the infrared sauna. Wow!! Definitely a place I would come back to. Thanks again, Namaste, Leslie

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to return again to Shanti in August (2015) for another delectable retreat! As always, the food is incredibly - nourishing, locally-sourced, and absolutely delicious - along with comfortable accommodations, and a quiet, relaxing waterfront setting that can't be beat! I made the trip (from BC) for Dallas and Jaffer's midweek retreat, and loved it every bit as much as I hoped I might - I highly recommend both for your next (or first!) yoga retreat experience!!!

I have been to Shanti 5 times so far. It is probably the best way to become relaxed and recharged in a short period of time. I tell my friends it's like 10 days of relaxation in 3 days. Both Wendy and Darren are great hosts. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food is incredible. I am not the vegetarian type but if someone were to prepare meals like that for me every day I could easily become a vegetarian.

I like is their approach to yoga. They are experts if you have never done yoga in your life they will make sure you enjoy the experience and feel comfortable and want to do more.

The staff are great everyone that works there is there because they want to be and they truly love working there.

It is a beautiful spot, you will not be disappointed.
