San Pedro Labs was founded in 2013 by Matt Zwager. Matt has been obsessing over synthesizers for about 35 years. After some self-taught electronics experiments as a teenager in the late 80s, Matt went off to University and studied Musical Instrument Technology and Electronics for 5 years. In 1994 he designed and built his first synthesizer, a semi-modular analog 3U system.Since then, he has worked in the fields of pro audio, consumer electronics, communications, and AV technology, with side projects including running a record label, producing electronic music, and DJing.Several years ago, Matt developed a VSTi for controlling analog synths using dc-coupled soundcard outputs, which rekindled his interest in synth-diy. He has since been honing his skills in that area and now offers his expertise to you, in exchange for money and stuff.
Matt is renowned for his attention to detail, which is evident in all San Pedro Labs builds.
We are based in Madrid, New Mexico, a beautiful, artistic haven nestled in the Ortiz mountains. Read more
