I took piano lessons from Sandy for almost 6 years before switching to ukulele. I have learned SO much! And all of the music theory I learned benefits me in whatever instrument I am playing. If you've ever thought "I wish I had studied piano" -- do it now! You will not regret it.

I was a beginning clarinet student of Sandy Mix. I have to say, she is an exceptional instructor. She is so patient and excited at your progress. When I started I had zero musical knowledge ... Then life happened and I could not keep up due to things totally not related to Sandy. Sigh. I wish I was studying clarinet with Sandy again. I think you should give it a try.

Sandy is an excellent music teacher. I have been taking piano lessons from her for several years and I'm very happy with my progression. One of the things I like best about her teaching is that she immediately identifies areas of concern and knows how to work with me to overcome challenges.

Sandy is just an amazing teacher. She has the incredibly rare combination of professional and casual that I was looking for in a teacher, and seems to be able to figure out how I learn even if I don't know myself. ... I really cannot give a high enough recommendation. If you're looking for a smart, funny, professional teacher who will work with you, you can't do any better than Sandy.
