We are glad you are here and want to introduce ourselves. Dr. Lila Schmidt decided to specialize in Gynecology/Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility to help women fulfill their many roles. At University of Southern California (USC) she earned both her Bachelor of Science (Psychobiology honors major) followed by her Medical Degree.
She did her Obstetric/Gynecology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical center in Beverly Hills. Upon completion of her Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility (REI) fellowship at University of California, Irvine Medical Center (UCI), and passing written OB/GYN and her REI boards, she moved to San Diego to begin private practice in September of 1993.
Additionally, Dr. Schmidt holds specialized credentialing in the operative specialties of infertility, from Advanced Operative Laparoscopy to Advanced Endoscopic Surgery. She is widely published in the field of infertility, from medical texts to state-of-the-art fertility journals. One of her most noteworthy Fertility and Sterility published studies is now an industry standard. (The answer is yes). Dr. Schmidt is a distinguished lecturer at universities and is seen as the expert by the media. A recent segment includes the infamous Blanket, Michael Jackson's son. Dr. Schmidt is a MIRACLE doctor! Especially if you are suffering from PCOS, MtHFr, or any other hormonal problem. When I experienced a hemorrhage at 6 weeks, Dr. Schmidt, dropped what she was doing and came rushing in to examine me and fight to keep my pregnancy viable, even when the ER docs told me I had no hope. well, Dr. Schmidt proved them very wrong! Truly truly a miracle worker!

I definitely recommend! It was my first time visiting the OB, and the smaller setting made me feel extremely comfortable. Dr. Schmidt was fantastic, she was straightforward and real with me and didn't sugarcoat, which I loved. She continued to ask me if I had any questions throughout my appointment and made sure I fully understood what she was saying. I will be returning! Very happy :-)

Honestly, I have no idea why all the negative reviews. This doctor is amazing and she's so nice and just tells things like it is. Kristina and Laura are always so helpful. I'm that patient that calls every week needing something and they are always happy to help.
