Dr. Haskins brings over 20 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology for her patients' benefit. She is actively involved in the political process and is well known at the state capitol and in Congress as a passionate advocate for women's health care.
The practice is within walking distance of Mercy Folsom Hospital and is conveniently located in the same complex as multiple imaging and lab services. All major pharmacies are available within our zip code.
Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM through 5 PM. We Provide 24-hour on-call emergency coverage with a diverse and extremely qualified group of doctors in the obstetrical call coverage group. Read more

By far the best experience I have had with any doctors office. Ruth is patient, kind, straight to the point, and extremely knowledgeable. She performed my c-section for my second child and completely fixed an awful keyloid scar that I had from the previous birth of my daughter. I was so nervous in surgery, and she was so caring and calmed me down and made me feel ten times better. Her staff is all so wonderful and so helpful! Anytime I meet someone who is expecting I always recommend Dr. Haskins!

I love Dr. Ruth Haskins!!! She is an amazing doctor and best ob/gyn I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot!). She is super understanding and has such a sweet bedside manner. She is clearly very intelligent and eager to address any of my concerns. Annual pelvic exams and paps can be hard on me because I have other health issues, so she makes the necessary accommodations and is super quick and gentle. I've finally found my ob/gyn for life...hopefully she will deliver my future children one day!!

Dr. Haskins is my most favorite OB/GYN EVER. I have gone to her and her office for many years. All the staff is wonderful. But she made the exam (which is not the most comfortable thing usually), an actually fun event. No kidding! It was thorough and not rushed at all (even though I know she has tons of work and other patients). I know without any doubts that she cares deeply about her patients and their health. If you have her as your doctor, you are very lucky indeed!

She takes the time with you to explain everything thoroughly and will return calls in a timely manner... I was very impressed when she returned a call to me at 7pm, I know she was staying late to take care of her patients. I wish all doctors were this caring. Her manner is calm and kind, never condescending or hurried. My surgery and recovery went smoothly and she did everything she could to make sure I felt comfortable with the process. Her office staff works very hard with insurance to make sure there are no billing mistakes. The lab and insurance company once made a mistake and Dr. Haskins office worked diligently to help me clear it up.

I had my annual exam today with Dr. Haskins, and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful doctor. She spent plenty of time getting to know me and understanding my history (as a new patient). I had seen the same doctors in the Bay area for 27 years, so I was a little nervous about finding someone new, but Dr. Haskins put me at ease immediately. She offered really helpful, practical advice on some issues I've been having, and was easy to talk to. I didn't feel rushed at all. Her office staff was friendly, the wait was practically non existent - I didn't even have enough time to complete my forms before they called me in. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great OBGYN.
