One of the few times I've had a spot-on experience at a retail store. Very spacious and clean location and the goods are organized well. Everyone was super helpful and nice but not pushy even though I had walked into the store 10 minutes before the doors were supposed to close. Jessie helped me pick out a pair of soles and took his time to explain all the pros and cons of different types. Minutes before the store closed, I remembered I needed to buy camping fuel. I asked someone else who worked there where it was and she didn't know so she called someone else who did know and she walked me to where it was. Through my whole experience, everyone was helpful, didn't rush me, and took their time to help!

REI carries a great selection of outdoor gear. They back their products and have a good return policy as well. I have been a member for many years and the benefit is that you get a dividend back at the end of the year based on what you have spent! I recommend REI.

I love REI. I've gotten a lot of random stuff here and I've even gone here just to consult with the staff on future purchases (researching what I wanted). This particular time I went to their Garage Sale. So many things heavily discounted. I ended up with a $66 Patagonia jacket. Score! Get there early though, there was a line of about 100 people 15 minutes before they opened up.
