Serving the Portland State University community!

The Bike Hub is a "do-it-yourself" environment that provides the tools, resources, and instruction to enable you to maintain your bike. They teach basic bicycle repair and maintenance techniques that will keep you rolling safely and smoothly.

They provide tools and instruction for you to work on your bike, and same day repair and turn around for most repairs if you drop off in the morning.

The Bike Hub also offers pay-for-service repairs by our trained staff, for those who may not have the time to do their own maintenance. Our retail selection features carefully chosen parts and accessories that balance high quality with affordability and meet the essential needs of the modern commuter.

In addition, they offer the VikeBikes low cost rental service.

They also teach classes, which are a great way to learn!

Friendly staff always makes me look forward to my weekly visit to the Bike Hub for air, and regular maintenance

They are located at 1818 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97201 at the Yellow/Orange/Green line MAX Stop, next to the PSU Transportation office.

I came outside after work to discover that my front bike tire was entirely flat. I'm a regular bike commuter, and leaving my bike downtown was not an option. It was 5:45 on a Tuesday, and my options were pretty slim. Luckily, I was only 6 blocks from the PSU bike hub. I went in 10 minutes before closing and told them what was wrong. I had never changed a tube before, and one of the employees was awesome. He got the tools and the tube out, explained the sizing, the tools, how to remove the tire and the popped tube, and how to check to see where the hole was. He then showed me how to place the tube and replace the tire, gave recommendations for PSI, made sure that all the gravel and sharp pieces were out of my tire (literally with his own hands, while warning me that sharp items can cut you), stayed past closing for 5 minutes, and charged me less than $10. I can't really imagine how this experience could have been any better.
