  I can unequivocally recommend Peter’s Wood Refinishing for interior wood restoration. They know their stuff and are straightforward in the advice and recommendations they offer. ... Detail-oriented and keen to coordinate on ultimate results (including the stain color for some hard-to-strip/match birch) and post-job follow-up, Peter’s crew showed up on time and ready to work for what became a 2-3 week job that was worth every penny considering the character and soul the restoration brought back to our once-bland, painted-over space. Hats off to Peter’s Wood Refinishing – just can’t recommend them enough.

  If I could give Peter's 6 stars I would! I couldn't be happier with the experience I had working with Peter's Wood Refinishing! ... We did initially hire another contractor who cancelled on us at the very last minute. At this point I was desperate, I had promised our landlord it would be repaired before his new tenants moved in and only had 5 days to make good on that promise! Peter's to the rescue! They did the repair on short notice, dealt with the unusual circumstance that I wouldn't be there for the repair, worked around the real estate agent's schedule to enter the unit, repaired the cabinet with no one on scene AND did it for 1/2 the cost of other quotes we had gotten. The results couldn't be better! Thank you Peter's Wood Refinishing for everything!

  We purchased an old house that had lead paint and layers of paint on the woodwork, frames, doors, sashes, fireplace, stairwells etc. and we have several little kids so we needed them protected. They came in, protected everything with layers of plastic, stripped the wood and then sealed it with a water based paint. They did all four levels of our 5500 square foot house and are keeping my babies safe!
  
  It was an amazing process in efficiency, responsiveness and professionalism. They are very competent and are incredibly responsive to everything we need. On top of that, Peter and Ariselli are great people who treat their employees and customers well. They were the first to be here, first to leave, and when time became a crunch made it work with more employees. I recommend them over any other wood refinishing customer in Chicago.

  I received flyers on my front doors just when I was thinking of fixing them. These are old, beautiful doors, original to our 1896 Wrightwood Neighborhood home. So I called Peter on a Saturday and to my surprise, he came over the next day, Sunday, with his portfolio and references. We hired his company later in the fall and they did a beautiful and efficient job. The guys were pleasant and clearly knew what they were doing, and Peter stayed closely in the loop. When it was complete (3 days), I noticed there was a bit of stain splatter on the interior wall, Peter came over right away and removed it. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Peter and his team for any wood refinishing.

Each one has a particular specialty, and they work well together. They complete work on time and within budget, and they do it with a commitment to quality.
