Paws To Train Your Dog

Pet Services

We work with ALL dogs, all breeds, all ages. We can help you train your dog to listen to you, come when called, stop incessant barking and jumping on visitors, and walk nicely on a leash without pulling. We can help you with crate and house training so your dog will stop destroying your furniture or your favorite shoes, urinating/marking and leaving deposits in your home, and so that your dog can simply have a safe, secure place to sleep while you are away. We've helped many puppies and dogs with mild nuisance behaviors as well as those whom other dog trainers have deemed "not trainable", and we can help you too! We also specialize in helping dogs with severe behaviors such as fear, anxiety, and aggression. All your problems can be resolved with any of our customized dog training programs! "Sit", "stay", "come", "down" Troy knows all these commands and can teach your dog them as well. Clients come to my home so it's important to have a well behaved dog. My dog has many health issues that affect her behavior. I need to have a quiet environment since I'm a massage therapist and it was apparent I needed some help with my dog. Troy takes the time to explain behaviors. Even though I've had dogs most of my life I really hadn't put much thought into why my dog is behaving a certain way. Now that I've learned more about the subject I now catch myself noticing how much humans really don't understand about their dog's behavior. I'm not an expert by any means, but I see people acting exactly like I was which wasn't working so I try to offer suggestions. Sometimes in life it's worth the time and money to seek the help of a professional and this was a great investment for me.

First. You have to understand dogs, specifically your dog. You can't work with them unless you understand them. Our dog (Boomer) would shake, I thought it was excitement. Troy read Boomer right away ... he wasn't excited he was fearful. Seriously ... you obviously work differently with a dog that is excited versus one that is fearful. Just makes sense, but you have to know your dog, and Troy does. That's just one thing, just a small sample of what we have learned working with Troy. ...

Last year we adopted a Border Collie named Kip. Within the first week of him being in our home, he bit at least one person and snapped at several others. Needless to say we were concerned as we have an active home with three teenagers and my grandbaby, who was only 6 months old, is a regular visitor. ...
