  Family owned. Great experience. Dr. Tanlamai is a very good optometrist from what I can tell. He does not rush his appointments and is very thorough. I had to pay out of pocket and these prices were way better than any of the other 4 places that I called.

  Lifesavers! My glasses broke on my trip to Boston today and I have a presentation tomorrow. Went here on recommendation and they fixed my frame quickly and then wouldn't accept any charge!
  
  While I was there I browsed their collection of frames which were extensive and nice. If I lived anywhere near here this would be the only place for glasses for me.

  Been a happy customer here for 3 years. I've established trust with this place and I know the first place to go if something goes awry with my eyes - and that's most important to me. Dr. T is a no nonsense kinda guy and does the job - vision exam, new contact lenses, frames - you name it. He will deliver in the end. Be sure to have your insurance information on hand when you visit. There may not be a ton of frames selection here, but enough to have a few choices across all price ranges.

  Needed to be seen in a hurry on a Friday afternoon. They made room for an appointment, and everyone was friendly and professional.
  Even better, the cost of an exam was reasonable despite being on Newbury Street. Elsewhere I got a quote for a contact exam of "starting at $195." Starting?
  Newbury Visions charged me less than $100. Love this place. Will go back next year when my prescription runs out.

  These people are amazing. I went to a nearby, fancier glasses store and was told that my glasses were rimless and could not be adjusted. I then went to Newbury Visions and the woman who runs the shop was very kind and showed me how the glasses could be adjusted, and then did it for me for free! I am looking for new glasses and she had very helpful advice on which models would fit my facial features (e.g. how they would seat on my nose, etc). Definitely will be back and buying my next pair of glasses from them!
