  Dr. Soboroff is the best vet anyone could wish for, and a truly wonderful person as well. He is kind and gentle and just has a special way with cats. You can tell he loves what he does. He is skilled, intelligent, and keeps up with the latest in vet care. Years ago he recommended a special new med for my sweet elderly BeeBee who has chronic ear infections. It has literally improved her quality of life drastically. Other vets have not even heard of this medication or have no idea how to prescribe it. He also picked up on an aggressive tumor early in its development just based on physical examination in another one of my cats. I have no words to describe how grateful we are to Dr Soboroff for the way he cared for our beloved Roonie and guided us through the process when it was his time. We have since moved out of the city, and continue to seek care from Dr. Soboroff for our cats, commuting from Queens. We have tried other more local vets but no one compares or even comes close. He also raises money for cats to be rescued from shelters and has cats at his hospital who can be adopted. They are so well cared for and loved by all the staff. Staff are professional, kind, animal lovers themselves. We have seen his partner as well, who is also terrific, so have no qualms about making an appointment with her. Look no further if you are seeking a vet for your cat. You will never find anyone better than him!!!

  I saw Dr. Lander to get an opinion on my cat. I appreciated her clear explanation of my cat's health situation and her thorough manual exam of my cat's body and mouth. The receptionist was friendly. The vet techs seem skilled at handling cats and were very pleasant. I liked the decor, which is warm instead of having that sterile white-walled clinic appearance. There are several cats and a dog lounging around in the reception area, which makes the place feel homey.

  I drove my cat over an hour to see Dr. Lander after 2 top rated Astoria vets failed to help my cat's issues with IBS. I keep my cat's test records so I brought with me her last two blood work charts which showed all was normal except a slightly elevated liver enzyme. I kept being told by those 2 other Astoria vets that everything is normal and "there's nothing we can do at this stage" Meanwhile my poor cat was uncomfortable from the IBS and throwing up almost daily. Refusing to believe there was "nothing that could be done" to help I took my cat's last two blood work charts to The Cat Hospital. Where Dr. Lander reviewed the charts in great detail and noticed they hadn't check my cat's B-12 level... Which ended up being very low. I now give my cat super easy to do B-12 injections at home. It's been 2 weeks so far and I'm happy to say she is back to her full energy level and feeling great again. Also, added bonus. Their front desk staff is warm, inviting, and kind.

  My name is Panda-Bear and I love everyone at NY Cat Hospital! Thank you for taking such great care of me and my kidney disease! My moms have been so worried about me...I wish I can tell them (I think they know) how great Dr. S and Cindy have been - they take such good care of me. Everyone there does. My kidneys are feeling so much better since finding NY Cat Hospital. I highly recommend NY Cat Hospital to all of my feline friends - my brother Teddy-Bear is going to go there now too. I especially love how clean and how friendly and thorough everyone is.

  Absolutely wonderful! Dr. Soboroff is so kind and sweet to our kitty and is always happy to see him. We feel like he is in the best hands and is so well taken care of. We highly recommend this doctor and this practice! We couldn't be happier. So thorough, so knowledgeable, so kind, no issues at all, just praise for this practice! From Eve at the reception desk to Dr. Soboroff and other staff - everyone is just wonderful. Thank you, so happy to have found you!
