NCWW offered the most well-coordinated, comprehensive weight management program I've ever encountered (and I've been through a lot of them). They help you approach the issue from all angles, including nutrition strategies, monitoring your bloodwork, cognitive behavioral therapy, specific meal plans for your goals, etc. Services are offered both in one-to-one appointments, group work, and even some exercise classes (yoga). The staff are some of the most empathetic and knowledgeable people in the field of weight loss. I wholeheartedly recommend NCWW to anyone who struggles with weight/eating issues and seeks a long-term solution.

... Fast forward two years or so and I am doing much better. I am in treatment for the disorder that Dr. Kahan caught. ... At NCWW, physical and emotional health always come first, and everyone is treated as a human being deserving of love, respect, and compassion. It's too bad that they don't take insurance, but that's a problem with our health care system, not with NCWW. For me, it's well worth the price. I just wish that all Americans had access to such well-integrated and personalized health services.

Dr. Kahan and the entire team at NCWW are, hands down, one of the best things that has happened to me. ...

The office does not take insurance (like so many other offices in DC), but is super helpful in assisting you with submitting claims to your provider.

I am in a much healthier place (not just in weight, but in physical and emotional health) thanks to Dr. Kahan. He is one of the kindest, most compassionate people I've met. His patients are die-hard fans, and I encourage you to ask questions of those who know him well.

... I go out a lot so I couldn't deal with a regimented diet. Then we started with FDA approved medications that he chose based on my condition. To my great surprise, the weight started to come off! And it has continued to come off with, frankly, little effort on my part. I have lost over 20 lbs so far and counting. In brief, this is the finest, most intelligent, weight loss program I have encountered in decades of trying. I am very grateful I found them, and recommend them highly and unconditionally to anyone like me who has tried to lose weight for years and failed. This practice is the answer.

Dr. Kahan has not only been a great doctor to me the past few years, he has really become a friend that I look forward to catching up with. He is always positive and keeps things in perspective. When I moved from DC he made it clear that he would still always be around for me if I needed anything. We have had phone appointments to keep me on track and they have been really helpful. I cannot say enough good things about him!
