Musicians' Playground

Music Teacher

Musicians’ Playground believes that portfolios are critical tools for reflecting on our accomplishments over time and staying committed to future growth. Because of this, we keep an organized file of videos, photographs, and completed work for each of our clients at no additional cost. This information is added to a private portfolio every year that our members can use at their discretion. For many members, the portfolios have proven to be valuable tools when applying for schools, scholarships, and jobs. Read more

I've looking for lessons for my 4 year old and found this warm, creative, energetic environment that Alyssa created. I wanted serious teachers who could establish a good foundation and push my daughter if she continued to love music. But I didn't want a strict, sterile environment that would beat the love of music out of her. Alyssa seems serious about music but engages playfully w/my daughter. They offer either or a combo of group and individual lessons so very flexible too.

I have loved taking piano lessons at Musicians' Playground! I learned piano growing up, and after a long hiatus, started taking lessons again with Alyssa six months ago at MP. ... I recommend MP to anyone looking to pick up the piano again later in life, or start for the first time!

I’ve been taking lessons at Musicians' playground for 6 months and I absolutely love it! Alyssa and Matt are seriously the nicest people - I always leave my lessons with the biggest smile on my face! ... And every few months there is an Adult Happy Hour - kind of like recital but more relaxed and fun! I cannot recommend Musicians' Playground highly enough!

Musician's Playground is an amazing place! The teachers make music instruction exciting and fun and the studio is beautifully inspiring. I enrolled my daughters, ages 7 and 10, hoping for basic exposure to music. My daughters enjoy Alyssa so much they never want to leave their lessons and they practice at home unprompted. This is a really special place to learn piano.

In a "30 Day Challenge" I went from not really knowing anything about music (outside occasional bar night karaoke) to having a foundation to better appreciate music and to continue to learn piano. Alyssa provided an upbeat and welcoming environment, and made sure that we stayed on track to reach our goals (which included learning two pop songs). Whether you're learning for the first time (do it!), or are looking to "tune up", I couldn't recommend this team more.
