I've tried quite a few yoga studios all over Austin. Most of them are pretty good. But Modo is EXCELLENT. East Side Yoga used to be my favorite, until Modo Yoga.

I love the monthly all-you-can-do yoga special that I caught for $75 a month. It included mats, towels, and water bottles for those who seem to always forget something, like me! Lockers are on point though I'm not a big of the Navy shower thing - I get it but I'm just not a fan. ...

Been to other yoga studios in austin but hands down this is where the true yogis go. The rooms are Silent so no one talks and interrupts your meditation. They have a very clean minimalist space, and lockers to leave all outside distractions outside the room. My favorite is the sun room feels like your working out in art gallery. ...

love Everything about this place! My favorite yoga studio ever. Love the hands on assists, the quiet shavasanah beginning and completing each class, the fantastic instructors and the way they verbally guide you through a true yoga experience each time! Thank you Modo Austin!!

How much do I love this place! Classes here are so calming :) haven't tried a teacher I didn't like yet (though there are a couple of standouts). Also important to note: This is the perfect hot yoga for people who can't stand Bikram. I wouldn't say classes are particularly challenging and if you love your inversions, you'll likely be bored. But, the lightly heated room makes you feel so successfully sweaty by the end of class! Definitely recommend. I used up my first unlimited month and still keep going back (which has seldom happened for me with other studios).

I've been going to Modo Yoga regularly for over a year, and what keeps me coming back are the wonderful teachers who translate their passion for and knowledge of yoga into classes that are engaging, challenging, and just plain fun (oh and the studio is beautiful and clean too :) ). I've been to other studios where yoga is almost a competition (where the teachers egged the students on ugh), but Modo Yoga is not that like at all. ...
