If I could give this thief zero stars, I would. Around November 2016, I was pregnant and looking for a doula. I loved how Meghan was a doula and a massage therapist because I knew massages would be very beneficial towards having a relaxing birthing experience. I was looking to have a completely natural birth. She came over to our house for for our initial consultation. My husband and I really liked her, so we paid the $550, which was half of the Doula fee. I texted her around January 2017 to make an appointment for a massage. She responded quickly and I ended up having the massage and was quite happy with it. Then around early April we were gearing up for the birth of our first child. We had two home visits with Meghan as part of our package. My mom was in town from Arkansas for my baby shower so I thought this would be the perfect time to have the home visit so she could meet Meghan and we could talk about our birth plan. Well, our appointment time came and went and Meghan DID NOT SHOW UP. I texted her to find out what was up and she didn’t respond until the next day. She said that she had totally forgotten and left her phone in the car. She said that we would reschedule for the next month. Well what do you know!?! She no showed again. This time she didn’t even try to say she forgot. She just said that she has a tumultuous home life (going through a divorce and single mom blah blah blah). I told her that I was really disappointed and didn’t really trust her to be there for our birth if she can’t even show up to the prebirth appointments. We said that we wanted our $550 back. She said no problem. Then the lies and runaround began. First it was she would have our money to us once she got her student loan disbursement. Then it was her father had a terminal illness and she had to come up with a lot of money because of her separation. She said flat out she couldn’t pay us back because she didn’t have any money as a single mother. She wanted to pay us back through her doing massages for us. Really?!?! Are you freaking kidding me?!?! First of all I would never have her massage me ever again! Second of all, why should I go out of my way to drive allllll the way to Englewood when I live in Stapleton to get the massages just so I get something for my money. She didn’t even offer to do in-home massages as a way to pay us back. Now it has been about a year since the first no show occurred and about 6 months since we’ve last heard from her. I will tell you DO NOT EVER TRUST THIS GIRL. SHE IS A FAKE, CHARLATAN, AND THIEF.

I receive bodywork from Megan regularly and I am always very happy with our sessions. She is responsive to my needs and attentive to make sure she is applying proper pressure. Megan knows how to dig in without going too far and always conducts herself in a friendly professional manner. Highly recommended!

I went and had a massage with Megan at The Family Room last Saturday and it was glorious! Megan knows her stuff. She can address specific issues and give her healing touch to help. I highly recommend her care. Especially for breastfeeding moms, pregnant women and anyone needing to reduce stress.

Megan Dempsey is amazing. She gave us great support during our pregnancy and made our birth very special. She has a wide knowledge base and is really interested in helping her clients to have the best labor/delivery possible. Having a doula was the best decision we could have made. Prenatal massage was also really helpful and we've continued to have support as we breastfeed.

Megan is amazing! Super knowledgable about the human body. She'll explain everything as she works! Her extensive knowledge of anatomy and biology is obvious. She massaged me for sports injuries and suggested supplements and stretches. I feel so much better and will definitely be going back to see her.

Megan was an amazing team member in our birthing experience. She offered a lot of support and advice before, during and after delivery (she's so knowledgeable!) Megan kept me as comfortable as possible during labor and she helped my husband stay present and informed through the process. With her help I did not want or need any medical interventions. ...
