Lexington Cooperative Market

Grocery store

We’re here to serve our owners and community by providing natural foods in a friendly environment.

Organic produce is here every day, and we work hard to buy as much as possible from local farmers – look for the yellow ‘local’ signs or green organic ones when picking up your fruits and vegetables. Read more

I have been a member of the Lexington Food Coop for over 30 years. I loved shopping at the Elmwood Avenue store because it's small, easy to navigate, and makes for a quick shopping trip. That said, they are building a huge new location on Hertel Avenue which will have a much wider selection of products and prepared foods.

You don't need to be a member to shop there, but it really pays to sign up. For a one time fee of $80 you get a lifetime membership. This entitles you to all sorts of biweekly member sales and discounts, as well as a yearly dividend, and the option to buy items you use frequently by the case at great savings.

The staff is just wonderful and make your shopping experience a true pleasure.

The Lexington Coop has really fresh produce, killer baked goods and super friendly and welcoming employees. I love going food shopping at the Lexington Coop and would highly recommend it to anyone! Definitely a gem of Buffalo!

My fiancé and I went here yesterday for the first time after we grew sick of overpaying for poor quality produce from major grocery chains. One trip is all is took....we are absolutely hooked! Not only are the prices competitive with other grocery chains but the produce is gorgeous, fresh, and delicious. We decided to browse around and ended up leaving with bulk coffee beans, a soy candle, all natural lavender hand cream, baked goods, and two hot cups of coffee. The parking is as to be expected for Elmwood village. We didn't try to park in the lot but there is a parking attendant who greeted us with a smile as we walked in. We are excited for our next trip and for the Hertel location to open!!

Great place! Prices on bulk are pretty good. Packaged goods are fair, they do offer some non-owner sales. Love the organic produce, often more organic choices than Wegmans!

I absolutely adore the coop! I'm there every chance I get! I love that fact that there is a market that is not only all natural and carries a lot of vegan foods and products.....but is able to be owned by US!....the shoppers and loyal customers! I CANT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT MY COOP!

I am not a member but the things I buy are about the same price as wegmans! I love the sense of community and everyone is super nice. LOVVVE the soups and hot bar! I will go to wegmans for other basic household needs but as far as food, this is my choice. I do have to say , i only buy for myself not a family so this may not be true for everyone!
