I brought a suit jacket into Lai's to get the sleeves altered, and it turned out amazing! Ms. Yee was very professional and willing to give her advice about how the garment should fit. And best of all the work was done by the next day!

I came to Lai's for late (4 weeks before) wedding dress alterations, and I am so so pleased with the work. I had a few things done - loosening by an inch (lace and chiffon), pulling the lace/illusion back up three inches, turning long lace sleeves into cap sleeves, and removing most of the mesh/tulle material from the illusion neckline. It came out to $200 (paid in cash, with 50% deposit upfront), which was a steal compared to the other quotes I had gotten for just fixing the back. I dropped off the dress on July 10, went in for a second fitting July 22 morning & picked it up later that afternoon. It fit perfectly!!

... Thank you!!! Would highly recommend!!

I've been looking for a trustworthy yet affordable tailor in NYC ever since I moved here 5 years ago. Tried multiple places in the garment districts but they sometimes need to rework my dress and still charge 50+ for taking in the sides. Until I found out about Lai's Royal Tailoring!

... I was extremely pleased when I picked up my dresses the next week. They all fitted me perfectly and the tailoring was done in precision and details. Overall I only spent $90 to fix three dresses, feels like a steal! Also remember to complement Mrs Lai's work, it'll make her very happy as she takes great pride on her profession.
