Kuhs Estate & Farm

Event Planner

Built on the bluffs of the Missouri River in the early part of the last century, Kuhs Estate is 150 acres within a half hour of central and downtown St. Louis.

Originally home to prehistoric Indians, and later the storage site of gunpowder, munitions and essential supplies for the Lewis and Clark westward expedition, it is one of but a small handful of designated ‘Landmark Preservation Areas’ for it’s historic significance to not only St. Louis but also the Midwest region.

The land on which the estate sits was home to Aboriginal Native Americans, circa the 1200's, and still is the final resting place for many of the tribe and their primitive artifacts. In the 1700's, it was a bustling French / Spanish trading post. The land was formally claimed and surveyed just prior to Napoleon's terms in the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. As the size of the United States grew overnight, President Thomas Jefferson commissioned his personal secretary, Meriwether Lewis and Captain William Clark to set off on the journey to follow the Missouri River to reach the Pacific Ocean. In doing so, they began at the confluence (previously part of the Kuhs Estate) and made their way along the river west. Read more

Words cannot even begin to express how grateful & thankful I am that we had my daughters wedding at Kuhs Estate & Farm!! Not only is the property absolutely romantic & gorgeous, the real blessing was Elizabeth!! From the minute my daughter was born till now I dreamed of having a beautiful wedding. I am sooo thankful that god lead us on the path to Elizabeth ❤️❤️❤️. The wedding was even more perfect and more beautiful than in my dreams! She went above and beyond to make our inspirations a reality 😍❤️ and she treated my daughter as her own. She is a true blessing!!

Such a perfect venue for the most perfect day! We endured wind and rain for the first half of the day and everyone at Kuhs made sure everything under the tent stayed dry and beautiful. The clouds parted as soon as we walked down the aisle and we felt like the luckiest people on the planet. Elizabeth and Nick were wonderful, helpful, and so welcoming. It all went off without a hitch and we have the venue to thank for that! A beautiful backdrop, gorgeous flowers, and the most tasteful vintage touches I ever did see. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and get married here!

Cousin had a wedding here. Great venue! Has an awesome view of the river from up high. Everything for the wedding was very well done. Owners did a great job. You can hit golf balls into the river from the top. Loved all of it.

WOW--so obviously the place is beautiful and you couldn't ask for a better setting. But the people are AWESOME. They paid such exceptional attention to detail and what the bride and groom want for their day. We never felt any pressure from them to do things a certain way, yet came to us with different ideas and options that we were free to take or leave. As someone who had a lot of her plate during wedding planning, it was so helpful to have someone who was calm (even when things weren't working out as planned), accommodating, and thoughtful. The touches they put on events are above and beyond. I can't say enough nice things about Elizabeth and my experience with Kuh's.

One of my friends got married here and it was the most beautiful setting I have ever seen for a wedding! The staff were all also lovely, friendly and helpful! And we got to pet goats, chicks, and ducklings!
