Dr. Kevin Kirby grew up in Sacramento, went to C.K. McClatchy High School, did his undergraduate degree at UC Davis, and went to podiatric medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM) in San Francisco. He did his podiatric surgical residency at the Palo Alto Veteran's Hospital and then completed a year of Biomechanics Fellowship training at CCPM where he also received his MS degree. I am a retired Nurse Practitioner with problem bunions, and complicated spine issues
( fusions), along with history of polio. Dr. Kirby is the only Doc who integrated my
full ortho history with his assessment for my problem foot, then mapped out his surgical
approach with that in mind. His comprehensive evaluation was what I was seeking- it
convinced me that Dr. Kirby was the right surgeon, and allowed me to move ahead

I have VERY problem feet.

Wear custom orthotics for years with mixed results. Undesirable possibility of surgery.
Walking boots and anti inflammatories, too often.
I finally asked my excellent Kaiser Podiatrist (Dr. Collman) for 'anyone' to help me.
I live in the Bay area. ... if...... I would travel to Sacramento... I should see Dr. Kirby.

I was recommended to Dr. Kirby from a fellow patient at my Chiropractor's office. I was in need of orthotics for a knee issue that I had been dealing with for many years. I was able to easily make an appointment and was in to see him in a couple of weeks. Other than the office needing a bit of an update, it was a very pleasant experience. He custom fit me for orthotics after taking a look at my feet as well as how I ran/walked. A few weeks later my orthotics came in and I have been so much happier ever since! ...
