Kaya Aerial Yoga

Yoga Instructor

Located in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic Old City district, Kaya Aerial Yoga offers a regular roster of aerial yoga classes, seven days a week, and circus arts classes twice weekly. We offer a unique mix of both aerial yoga and traditional yoga classes, ranging from Vinyasa flow to Yin Yoga. Our aerial conditioning classes are influenced by acro yoga, gymnastics, and Pilates.

At Kaya, we take our practice very seriously, but we’re also proud to have developed a reputation as a friendly and welcoming studio—a place where all students are treated as friends, no matter their level of skill or past experience. There is perhaps nothing that satisfies us more than seeing a new student with little or no yoga experience fall deeply in love with aerial.

How is Kaya different from other aerial studios? For starters, those of us who practice here regularly have become more than friends—we’ve become a community. We’re a caring and supportive family, and that goes for the instructors as well. If a student is struggling with a particular issue, for instance, it’s not at all unusual for a Kaya instructor to spend extra time with her both before and after class. Read more

Absolutely love this studio! I have been dancing my whole life, but when I moved to Philly from Florida, I really wanted to try something new. I've taken yoga in the past and when I saw this was close, I thought why not?! I've been going for a couple months now and I absolutely love it! The teachers are all very nice and helpful for when you don't know what you're doing. I cannot say enough good things about Kaya Aerial Yoga. I look forward to going to their classes every week!

I've been coming to this studio for months now, and it is top notch! Yes, the studio is a bit small, but the classes are more affordable than you're average specialty yoga studio. I think the trade-off is worth it! The teachers are all wonderful and really knowledgeable, the classes are suitably challenging, and it's fun as hell. Take it from someone who usually puts off exercise whenever possible: I love this place. It keeps me WANTING to move my body and get stronger.

First time doing Aerial Yoga. Took a first time flight class. Awesome experience. Learned a lot and felt totally welcomed and safe. My 16 year old niece and I had a blast at Kaya Aerial Yoga!

This is such a neat place! The instructors I've had so far are all safe and in tune with their students. The warm ups and cool downs compliment the content of the sessions. Good technique is emphasized so that you can safely advance as you gain strength and flexibility. The students are positive and encouraging of one another. Meow meow meow!!!
