I'm the owner of a manhattan based dog walking service and several of my clients go to Kalvig and Shorter. They get treated by a knowledgeable and friendly staff right when they walk through the door. I recommend KSV to every New Yorker looking for exceptional pet care.

Thank you to the whole staff! We've had two appointments with out rescue puppy at this practice and have had great experiences both times. They're prompt and very knowledgeable. They also explain everything they're doing very thoroughly, from ear cleaning to tick medicine. Our little mutt puppy Windsor isn't afraid to go in and is always a happy and healthy puppy once she heads home!

I Honestly don't know where to begin I am going to say such amazing things that no one's going to believe it could possibly be true but I am a seasoned pet owner. I've had many dogs and I currently have two one is addisonian and one has Cushing's disease. … Kalvig & Shorter is absolutely incredible I wish when my children were growing up they had the kind of care or myself for that matter that my two dogs get at this animal hospital. the doctors are incredible very accessible very well trained very well informed and very resourceful. The technicians are equally as wonderful so supportive kind gentle nice Well qualified as well as reception. … My babies have a lot problems and I am so very very grateful to have found such a wonderful animal hospital you should have no reservation to give a call or stop in and say hi it's an absolute wonderful place. I'm a very select person and I really felt it was necessary to share a place that is so very professional and fine.

Dr. Kalvig is the most thorough, compassionate, and thoughtful vet I have ever come across. She complelty investigates the root of the problem, and gives you all of the information about your animal's illness. She also really takes her time with ever patient and has a wonderful, soothing manner. I've learned more about caring for my cat, and specifically ways to avoid vet visits, by feeding, and medicating her properly. Highly Recommend KSV Veterinary Associates.
