Justin is the rockstar designer. He builds sexy design with attention to details. His ability to listen to idea and feedback is very rare because most designers think they need to be stubborn and opinionated. On top of that, he loves talking to customers and users to build features that actually matter to them. Highly recommended!

I wish LinkedIn would allow me to draw a picture to describe Justin. I would draw a magnificent human-headed falcon with shiny, clear eyes. Hear me out. The falcon is a symbol of success, of rising above a situation, of visionary power and guardianship. Falcons are laser-focused and intellectually curious. Falcons are intimidating. But this falcon would be human-headed to symbolize soul. Justin is a falcon. His mentorship and encouragement turned even the most menial of design tasks into a personal challenge, prompting you to deliver above your very best. It was a pleasure to be a designer on Justin’s team. Some have called him a “golden unicorn” but I call him a “magnificent falcon” and a true asset to any team.

If Chuck Norris were a product designer, Justin would still be better. He always fights for the user to the extent of making grown men cry, and never ships "good enough" products. Instead, he challenges himself and his peers to find truly excellent solutions through a rigorous iterative process, and not just perpetuate the status quo. He embraces future technologies and stays on the cutting edge, letting him always be the leader in bringing innovation and delight to users. He does all of the above with amazing grace. I am thankful for the time we had together at Mint. If you ever have a chance to work with him, you should.

Justin is rare bird. His phenomenal design instincts are complimented by his strategic acumen and vision, not to mention his technical prowess. This killer combination of strategic thinker and digital visionary gives Justin a very unique and invaluable skill set on any project he sinks his teeth into. Justin's work, experience and communication skills are top notch.

As 1 of the 2 designers at Mint, Justin was an integral part of Mint's design ethos and ultimate success. We worked very closely together, and I was continuously impressed by Justin's ability to take an idea and come up with 15 different visual variations and to then (impartially!) dissect the strengths and weaknesses of each. If you're looking for someone to come up with a fresh approach to an old problem, Justin's the guy. Also, "pixel level detail" is an understatement with Justin – his screen is always zoomed in to 2600%!
