Joe's Carbon Solutions has painted five frames for me. The workmanship is consistently excellent. They do great work in steel frame restorations. I have taken 4 rusty beaten up frames there which they have transformed into concours worthy rides. I recommend them to anyone wanting to give new life to an Eroica era bike

Joe and his team provide incredible service. He really cares about his customers, has very fair pricing, and does impeccable frame painting. I brought Joe my beloved Pegoretti aluminum frame that had some rust under the paint. ... He even copied all the Pegoretti markings and logos perfectly. When I took it back to VeloTech in Palo Alto to be reassembled, they were floored by the frame and said it looked like a paint job that Dario Pegoretti (renowned for his artistic paint schemes) would have done himself. I am thrilled with the outcome and I would trust Joe and his team with any bike frame paint work I ever need done.

I met with Joe of Carbon Solutions Bicycle Painting and Carbon Repair last weekend.
Joe painted my Leopard a couple of years ago and recently did a little work on my bike.

    So interesting factoids about Joe.
-He's got about 25 years of bike repair experience.
-He was one of the main, possibly the main carbon fix it guy at Calfee for about 10 years. Still helps Calfee when they get busy. He was painting a Calfee tandem when I dropped off my bike.
-Once Calfee decided to start up their own carbon repair business he opened up his own business. Real simple not fancy, no frills kind of shop.
-He was the painter/repair guy for Leopard before the Leopard brand folded and he was told to stop.
-Joe is the fix it guy for Specialized. Sounds like Specialized has had numerous failures where the seat stays come off the seat tube.

He gets real busy during the race/crash season then things slow down during the off season. I asked him if he wanted more business, he said
sure. He's got several other guys he can bring in when Specialized gives him a dozen + frames to work on so he can handle more business.
I asked him what can and can't be fixed. Almost everything on a carbon frame. All the tubes can be repaired, the only area he doesn't repair are forks, they can easily be replaced, and he'll avoid rear dropouts with serious damage. It's too critical an area to repair.

So if you've got a broken frame in your garage or in your future don't chuck it fix it.
If you're itching for a new customized paint job on any bike, Joe can do it. Some of our club members have had their bikes painted by Joe.

September 2014: These guys are very professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. I sent a Trek Madone 5.9 in with some bottom bracket damage. They repaired the frame, and matched the paint in the area perfectly. I could not tell there was every any damage upon close inspection. The repair process took less than 1 week. I highly recommend them.

I had my LOOK carbon frame fixed, stripped and repainted by Joe in 2009. He changed the paint from all white to a cool metalic fade. I couldn't be more happy with the way it came out.
