I am a New York City fashion and portrait photographer.I am drawn to photography through its powerful storytelling capacity. Coming from a music background as a classical concert pianist, I am sensitive to the spectrum of emotional depth that can be found within the performance of a piece of music, a way of painting with sound on the blank canvas of silence. Similarly, I see a photograph as that canvas for capturing the broad palette and nuanced brush strokes of my subject’s story and emotions. It is an opportunity to capture moments that signify human experiences much larger than the moment itself.     Jiyang is, hands down, one of the most amazing photographers you will ever work with. He could seriously make a rock look beautiful! His artistry shines through in each and every one of his photos, and he knows exactly what he's working with. He'll capture all your best angles and give you a portfolio of incredible shots that'll make you feel like you're a model in Vogue! I really can't recommend him enough.

    Actually he is my friend, a musician/photographer. But I find him the best I've seen. He captures the moment, and even unexpected plain background becomes artistic and alive. His sense of lighting and angles are extremely sensitive, a natural. He doesn't even need to really edit much and the photos come out amazing. Beyond description.
