At Inspector Clouseau Home Inspections, we believe educating you is more important than being overly critical. We take the time to explain our findings to you in terms that you can understand, so there is no confusion that can cause needless anxiety.
Our inspectors are certified through San Antonio College and licensed through the Texas Real Estate Commission. With over 30 years experience in the home building and remodeling industry as a carpenter and manager/wholesaler of building materials, Rod Dunn, our primary professional inspector, is well versed in the procedures and stages of home building. He also completes at least 16 hours of continuing education in the inspection industry each year, as well as being active in professional associations, so he remains current with changes in the industry. Although Rod inspects a home according to the International Residential Code, he educates the buyer and seller of each property by separating safety issues from needed repair items. Read more

My husband and I are in the process of buying a home in San Antonio. We hired Inspector Clouseau based on reviews and we were not disappointed! Our inspector was Tom; he was incredibly careful and took his time going through the house. When he was ready to go over the inspection he answered all 1000 of my questions and did so in such a polite and genuine manner. You can even get a "scratch off" coupon when it's time to pay. We got $15 off! I would highly recommend :)

These guys are the bees knees! The poor reviews below are bologna. The release you sign before your inspection is very clear about what will be inspected and what is normal for a home inspection before purchase. If you can read (and you've come this far!), you'll do just fine.

My inspector was polite, courteous and thorough. I was very pleased with the work they did before buying my home. The report was detailed and clear with pictures showing exactly what he saw during his inspection. This made it very easy to rectify issues later. The inspection was timely within 48 hours of my placing the request. I was able to place my request for an inspection online using their simple registration on their web site. Overall the process was easy, efficient and timely.
