  Ideal eyes helped me with an extremely similar problem.

  I am a patient here for life! Dr. Surh is kind, attentive, and competent. Ideal Eyes has reasonably priced eye exams (approx $82 for eye exam and contacts exam with VSP) and contact lenses. I was so happy with Ideal Eyes that I recommended my husband come here too, and he is very happy with them as well!
  
  They are also very responsive via email in setting up appointments and giving price quotes for lenses, which is great and really convenient.
  
  After experiencing bad service, long wait times, and a total lack of transparency about prices at other optometrists in the Bay Area, I was so happy to find an optometrist who cares about patients! I cannot recommend Ideal Eyes highly enough. They are great!

  ... Dr Surh listened to this and promptly pulled out a bunch of lenses and a pair of frames that looked like something Frankenstein would wear and started to switch lenses in and out. Each time she made me walk around the store to see how the changes would effect my everyday vision.
  
  It worked, I haven't got the glasses yet but that is the clearest I have seen out of that eye in 10 years!
  
  Her attitude and willingness to listen are why I *will* be able to see better than I have in years. On top of all this she helped me pick out a pair of glasses, which was incredibly helpful given how style deaf I am.

  ... I just got back from my appointment. Office is beautifully designed. I am in the healthcare field so I know professionalism when I see it. Gloria (Dr Surh) is top notch explained everything perfectly, and really did a splendid job. She is incredibly sweet and knows her stuff.
  The location is very convenient, but don't forget coins for metered parking.
  
  I already made my appt for next year and plan to go for many more. Thank you Gloria. I'll come and say hi whenever I am walking the dog on B. Ave :)

  This is the best optometry store I've ever used. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, great customer service. Eye exams are done right!

  True test of a business takes place when things go wrong. In my case, my lens got damaged while under their lab's care, though I'd be hard pressed to prove it was their fault. They replaced the three year old lens with new prescription ones at a very fair price. Then, the new lens turned out to have the wrong focal range, or at least it was different from my previous ones. Being fairly new to the world of prescription glasses, I didn't look forward to taking them back to complain. I figured, once you got your lens that was it. But take them back I did, and to my pleasant surprise they retested my eyes and offered to get me the correct lens at no charge.
  
  Throughout this ordeal, they were as pleasant and helpful as can be. Nancy, especially, was professional and friendly from beginning to end.
