  Whilst we had a little delay on the timeline with it taking a fair bit longer than I'd hoped, I was so very impressed with the work and Alfie's attitude that the time frame is already forgotten. I highly recommend them for workmanship and service. If I ever need furniture restoration again, I wouldn't hesitate to go to Hume Modern. Thanks for a great job

  I brought an Eames Lounge Chair to HumeModern to have the seat shock mounts replaced. I dropped off the chair on a Tuesday, and the work was completed by the following Monday. The work was completed promptly and professionally. I can recommend HumeModern for their knowledge and skill in repairing Mid-Century Modern furniture. Good service.

  ... Finally I decided to get real cushions.
  I took the old ones to Alfie who immediately told me to 'stick' the old ones and instead give him actual measurements from each of the chairs. Based on those measurements and his encyclopedic knowledge of this stuff HumeModern made two perfect-fit cushions which I believe to be better than the original OEM cushions. We love them.
  Highly recommend HumeModern for any 'modern' furniture remanufacturing.

  Alfie replaced the mounted on our HM fiberglass chair quickly and for a reasonable cost. We are very impressed as we drove from San Diego for this specific shop. Alfie went above and beyond as my husband was running late to pick up but Alfie stayed to make sure he got the chair and would not need to make the drive again. This was a huge favor as we were paranoid about the chair cracking if we had shipped it. Overall very impressed.

  Truly fine craftsmanship is so hard to find today. I was a bit concerned going in, especially living half way across the country.
  
  All I can say is, WOW! Humemodern did a absolutely fantastic job on my Eames Lounge Chair. If you have an vintage Eames, this is the only place to go to restore your American classic.
