In business since 1971, Leonard and Peggy Hodgson started off buying antiques, fixing them up and selling them at our shop in South Pasadena. Once people caught on and word spread, we were working on customer's finest heirlooms (chairs, pianos, dresser, etc.). Their three children were brought up working in Peggy's store and in Leonard's workshop but it was their son Ronnie who picked up the trade at age 10. Ronnie never left his father's side and spent years perfecting his skills in furniture restoration. By 1997 Ronnie was running the refinishing shop and business was growing quickly, so he moved to a larger location in Azusa where the shop still resides today. Read more

I'm very pleased with the service I received at Hodgson's Furniture! I had an old rocking chair repaired and cleaned up after many hard years in a garage and it looked beautiful. The chair has a lot of sentimental value and my 4 year old son will be giving it to his dad for Father's Day. Thanks Ronnie!

He picked up my dining room table and returned it looking better than it ever had. I love that he enjoys a challenge. The color of the table was very complex and he matched it perfectly. He sanded and waxed the matching chairs on site, and the result is is perfection. I love going into my dinning room and admiring his work

Ronnie did a great job for us. I brought an old table (in pieces) that had been stored in a damp basement in the midwest to California. It was a mess, but it was a family piece that meant a lot to me. It was made by hand and so was a challenge. Ronnie took it on for a more than fair price. It took a few weeks and we waited as Ronnie tried to puzzle the pieces together. He stained it to match our current chairs. It looks amazing!! Thank you, Ronnie. I will be calling you again for future jobs.

Ronnie, the owner of Hodgson is amazing! He is a perfectionist and did a great job refinishing my 40 year old dining room table and chairs. I had 2 chairs stained, 6 chairs glazed, and the table stained darker than the original finish. He completely stripped the table and fixed all the damage. I am indecisive but with Ronnie's help and experience my dining room set turned out amazing. I highly recommend Hodgson Restoration.
