Heritage Bicycles

Bike Shop / Coffee Shop

Bicycles are a lifestyle. There is a reason the timeless saying, "It's like riding a bike exists." It's because bicycling is part of our inner-core. Chicago-based Heritage Bicycles believes that a bike is not just a bike. We instead believe that a bicycle is an extension of you. That's why we build custom bicycles that make you feel brand new. We weld locally, we paint locally, and we assemble locally. That's still not good enough for us though. We take it one step further by using high-tensile American steel to create our sleek, hearty frames. Beauty and guts. The Chicago way. The local way. Read more

This place has everything I love! Top notch coffee that fully met my coffee snob standards. Awesome classic bikes. I can’t wait to commission a custom build. And donuts. They got donuts. Plus lots of other tasty treats.

I had the best experience with Joe! I called on a Sunday wanting a kick stand for a kids bike. He was so courteous on the phone. He put me at ease saying it comes a standard size and he cuts it down to the right size. I came in immediately and he had it done so fast maybe 10 minutes. My husband mentioned to him he needs bike to go faster cause our kid is peddling too much. He changed something else on the bike think something with gears and now my daughter goes way faster. Total time was less than 30 minutes. He was fabulous and I strongly recommend.

One of my favorite coffee shops. They have a very particular vibe that compliments most everything - reading, first dates, homework - and obviously, the coffee and pastries are good, too. But the vibe - and that warm afternoon light that pours in around 3:30 - is something special.

Is it a bicycle shop that sells coffee, or a coffee shop that fixes bikes? It doesn't matter. All I know is that I can't stop going here for a cold brew, a warm cinnamon roll, and being oddly productive on my computer amidst bicycle tires.
