Originally started as a men's tailored shirt company, The Designers would personally accommodate everyone's busy lifestyle to take each client's measurements at the location of their choosing, always ending up in a great conversation, an exchange of ideas and always laughs shared. They decided to expand and open up a small shop which would embody the feel of the brand and named it The Standing Room by HEIGHTS+KENCHI.
Located in Manhattans East Village the location was chosen for its seclusion. After their Haberdashery opened their clients would come down to get measured and sometimes just hang out. The decor is reminiscent of Haberdashery in the 1920's & 30's. Everything from floor to ceiling has a story which the designers are more than happy to share with you. Read more

I had a great experience working with Gus to create a custom suit for my wedding. He gave very helpful advice but made sure that the important decisions were up to me. I've never had a suit made before, but he made me very comfortable with the process. Gus was even able expedite my suit on very short notice, and finished it almost a week earlier than we had planned. It came out beautifully and I can't wait to wear it at my wedding this coming weekend! Highly recommended.

A friend of mine had a blazer made for himself and referred me here. Once I got the contact info, I reached out to Emir for an intro and was able to make an appointment. I sent him a photo of what I was looking for which made the appointment easier. We went through some colors and materials, took some measurements, and I brought in a jacket I had so they had an idea of what I wanted for fit.

This is the first time I've ever taken the time out to write a review but the service warrants it! I've very particular about the way my clothes fit and they were very accommodative to my requests. I also needed my jacket for a trip and they were able to turn it around super quick! Very happy with the end products and will definitely be going back!

By far the best tailor I've ever been to! After losing some weight my favorite suit was really baggy and didn't fit well. I brought it into the tailor and he helped me with suggestions on how to fit it best for my body. After four days he called me to come pick it up, and I was very pleased with the way it fit! It looked and felt like a custom hand made suit! I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I would not go anywhere else !! I have been all over the city looking for custom suits. Heights & Kenchi were by far the absolute best. I was in a rush for an up coming event and they were only company able to finish my 3 piece suit in 2 & 1/2 weeks. All other places want 3 weeks to a month. Their actually was a little last minute issue where the tailor was not able to finish alterations on my suit the Sunday it was promised. ... One of the owners personally delivered this suit all the way to my door step. I know him well now and I will not go anywhere else. Thank you Heights and Kenchi for showing such character.
