For over 16 years, Greg Schroen has been helping people in the Austin Texas vicinity with tax planning, tax preparation, and tax strategies. He is knowledgeable, experienced, capable, caring and discreet.
Prior to becoming an independent financial/tax professional, Greg worked in the corporate world for over 15 years, holding titles such as senior financial analyst and senior systems analyst. His former employers include Dell, Motorola, and Texas Instruments. Originally from Peoria, IL, Greg has lived in Tulsa, Dallas, Cleveland, Darien (CT), and now, Austin for the last 28 years.
In addition to his paid duties, Greg served as local chapter President of the National Association of Accountants, held offices in non-profits, and currently serves as Treasurer for an M.U.D. and as President for the AMTA -Texas Chapter.

We turned to Greg to help us unravel a knotty situation dealing with a sale of a rental home and the attendant tax consequences. After consultation and some research, Greg came up with an approach that would satisfy the IRS and State of Oregon, including corrections to prior year's taxes that had not been done correctly. Greg is thoughtful and holistic and knowledgeable in his approach, and takes the time, as in that situation, to examine things from all perspectives.
